The truth behind "Reynolds City".
REYNOLDS CITY poster
It was a grueling task to finish but I'm very happy with the outcome. Audiences tell me they are fully entertained by the story, action and soundtrack. The title of the film is an homage to Burt Reynolds as I was a huge fan of his from the 70's and 80's.
The opening titles and images to this film were deliberately made to capture the essence of the opening from "Sharky's Machine". Anyone who is a Burt Reynolds fan will definitely see what I did. Over the course of 7 months I pieced this together. My auto interior repair business was primarily funding my film projects and it always took time to raise money for the continued production process.
I met actor Peter Speach through a friend's acquaintance cousin. Sounds odd but he called me on the phone one day, we met for coffee and immediately I pictured him as the corrupt Mayor in this film. Lisa Chelenza and I met on a small horror film I had a tiny role in and she mentioned how she wanted to be the lead in an action film. So naturally, when I started this film I offered her the role if she wanted it. Also, she was a voice on Central NY radio TK99 Gomez and Dave show in the mornings. A strong comparison, she's the Robin Quivers of that classic rock radio station. It came in handy when it was time to promote the film because we had a ton of free promotion. Gomez and Dave also had cameos near the end of the picture.
